This lesson covers the technical aspects of microphones, including polar patterns, frequency response, and sensitivity, as well as practical guidance on choosing the right microphone for various recording scenarios.

Lesson 3 – Audio Equipment: Mixers, Interfaces, and MIDI Controllers:
This lesson introduces the key pieces of audio equipment that are central to any recording setup. Students will learn about the functions and features of mixers, audio interfaces, and MIDI controllers, and how to integrate them into a cohesive workflow. The lesson will cover the basics of  the role of each device in the recording process.

Lesson 4 – Monitoring and Sound Treatment:
Proper monitoring and sound treatment are crucial for accurate recording and mixing. This lesson covers the principles of monitoring, including speaker placement, headphone monitoring, and the importance of room acoustics. Students will also learn about basic sound treatment techniques to improve the listening environment and ensure a more accurate representation of audio.

Lesson 5 – Basic Recording Techniques:
The final lesson introduces students to the core recording techniques used in a studio setting. From setting input levels to capturing clean audio, students will learn the step-by-step process of recording instruments and vocals. The lesson also covers fundamental editing practices, ensuring that students can create and manage high-quality audio recordings.
