Course Description
The audio production course will instruct students to be efficient and knowledgeable audio professionals. Using available tech, students will analyze the opportunities and functions in pre-production, music creation, and post-production.
The program takes a dual approach in its implementation of instruction, providing students with theoretical and technical knowledge in digital advertising and marketing while training them in the skills of Audio Production, which includes audio editing and recording, to supplement their marketing and advertising instruction.
The course will introduce the students to collaborative learning while implementing audio industry protocols. Building the proper habits develops into quality results. In addition, the Students will integrate their music creations with promotional campaigns used in podcasts and films, earning them experience applying music publishing knowledge.
This course aligns with and incorporates the California Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards, Common Core State Standards as reflected in the Academic Alignment Matrix, and Standards for Career Ready Practice, Anchor, and Pathway Standards.
