Throughout this course, students will be exposed to a wide range of topics related to media broadcasting.
These include:
The role of broadcasters in shaping public opinion
The history of media broadcasting and its impact on society
The technical aspects of broadcasting, including sound and video production
The various mediums of broadcasting, including tv, radio and the internet
The impact of social media on broadcasting.
Through readings, presentations of learning, discussions, and hands-on projects (learning labs) students will gain a deep understanding of the media broadcasting industry. They will learn how to develop compelling content for various mediums, how to use new technologies to enhance their broadcasts, and how to navigate the legal and ethical considerations that are unique to this field.
Upon completion of the course, students will have the skills and knowledge needed to pursue careers in media broadcasting, including roles as reporters, producers, editors, and on-air personalities.
