This Digital Marketing course is designed to introduce middle school and high school students to the foundational concepts and practical applications of digital marketing. Throughout the year, students will explore a variety of topics that equip them with the skills to create, manage, and promote digital content across multiple platforms. Below is a brief overview of the lessons covered in the course:
- Introduction to Digital Marketing:
- This lesson provides an overview of digital marketing, covering the basic concepts, the role of digital marketing in today’s world, and its importance in reaching and engaging audiences online.
- Planning Digital Magazines:
- Students learn how to plan and organize content for a digital magazine, including identifying the target audience, selecting themes, and understanding the components that make a digital magazine successful.
- Social Media Marketing:
- This lesson introduces the fundamentals of social media marketing, including how to create effective social media strategies, engage with audiences, and analyze the impact of social media campaigns.
- Content Creation:
- Students explore the various types of digital content, such as text, images, and videos. They learn how to create compelling content that aligns with marketing goals and resonates with the target audience.
- Introduction to Podcast Marketing:
- In this lesson, students are introduced to the world of podcasting and learn how podcasts can be used as a powerful marketing tool. They explore the basics of creating and promoting podcasts.
This program aligns with and incorporates the California Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards, Common Core State Standards as reflected in the Academic Alignment Matrix, and Standards for Career Ready Practice, Anchor, and Pathway Standards.
